Need for Speed ProStreet Launch Party! |
Friday, 09.11.2007 |
EA is doing a big launch party in Los Angeles next week. If you can, stop by:
As you all know Need for Speed ProStreet is finally shipping next Tuesday, November 13th. We are going to celebrate the release of this game in style with one of the biggest outdoor car displays that the city of Los Angeles has ever seen!!
On Tuesday, November 13th at 9:30pm outside of Les Deux, we encourage all of you to drive down (within speed limits) and show off your rides. The first 75 nicely tuned cars to come by will receive a FREE COPY of Need for Speed ProStreet.
Come out to show off your ride, talk about cars, and most of all be one of the first to play Need for Speed ProStreet!!
(Please note that there will be a Media event taking place inside the venue. Those who choose to drive down are not guaranteed access into Les Deux.)
Les Deux
1638 N Las Palmas Ave, Hollywood, CA 90028
If you don't live near Los Angeles, check out your local EA websites. e.g. Electronic Arts Germany is doing launch parties as well, in 6 different citys in Germany.

NFS PS: NFS Consultant Blog |
Saturday, 03.11.2007 |
The official website of Need for Speed ProStreet received another update: Marc De Vellis is a race car driver consultant for NFS Franchise since Need for Speed Underground. In the latest blog entry he talks about his jobs and how the NFS series got more and more realistic from Underground to now.
Excerpt:
We created cars that were so real, that when testing against Porsche telemetry data, we were within tenths of seconds. Our tire model alone has more attributes to tune than probably most games have in their entire physics engine. Throughout the years, every time I felt as though I needed a certain adjustment to polish the feel, I worked with engineers to implement this into a feeling. 5 major titles later and here we are!
