I just wanted to inform you, that I am on holidays for the next 4 weeks, so I can't update NFS-Planet.
The cars, which have been sent to me, will be added in four weeks. I will visit an Internet Cafe, but if you need something, it is better to write it in our forum, because I won't will have the time to sort all my mails.

| NFS 4+5: Stat-Reset at EARacing |

EARacing, the platform for playing Need for Speed High Stakes and Need for Speed Porsche online, plans to reset the statistics, the whole ranking-list. This has been demanded by many players, because most of the list is wrong because of the many unfair players who use hacked cars.
Even some anti-cheat programs like Silent Witness could not prevent this.
But now everthing should change, because together with the stats-reset it will not be possible to cheat anymore.
The reset is scheduled for today (9. Juli), but the exact time is unknown.

Addict released a new tool for Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed: the CRP Decompressor! This tool can compress and decompress the CRP files of NFS Porsche, where the cars are saved, and creates a DRP file. You can find this tool in our Tools-Section.

 Electronic Arts Netherlands got new information about Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2. For example the release dates changed again:

And another interesting thing is, that the music for NFS HP 2 will be made by Limp Bizkit, Uncle Cracker and much more.
And another thing: In Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 there will not be any speeding tickets!! This means, when the police stops your car, you are arrested and the race is over. The game would be more realistic, but this also may be a reason for not making an Hot Pursuit Mode for the Multiplayer.

 We got a new affiliate: ND4SPDWorld! For those who don't already know this site: It is one of the most frequently updated NFS sites, it has always the latest news about NFS 6 and a huge download archive with files for Need for Speed 3, 4 and 5.
And exactly from this site comes the Making-Of movie which has been published at CG Channel. It shows how the developers made the first movie I uploaded yesterday and it is really interesting.

| NFS 6: 2 Intro Movies |

 At CGChannel.com there were two new movies, which might be the intro-movies for the upcoming game Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2. Both are rendered movies, which means they are are not real, but made with the computer. Despite of it they have a really great quality with many details.
Unfortunately the first movie is approximately 12 MB big, but it shows a fast pursuit of a Lamborghini and a Ferrari 355.
The second movie (5.7 MB) is set in the night, and it shows a woman driving in front of some police cars.
They are really great movies, I really suggest you to download it!
