 Need for Speed Underground is a long-time seller. Need for Speed Underground has been sold more than 7 Millionen times!
This is also a reason why the net revenue of Electronic Arts for the first quarter was $432 million, up 22 percent as compared with $353 million for the fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2003. Sales were driven by Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, EA SPORTS Fight Night 2004 and UEFA Euro 2004, each reaching platinum status (over one million units sold) in the quarter. Next year the net revenue is expected to be between $3.3 and $3.4 billion - up 12 to 15 percent year-over-year.
"We are off to a great start in our new fiscal year," said Larry Probst, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We received five Game Critics Awards for Best of E3 -- a record for any company and three of our first quarter releases went platinum. NCAA Football's week one sales are tracking over 50 percent ahead of last year, and Madden NFL's pre-orders are at record levels. We continue to extend our lead by creating great entertainment while building for the next generation of technology."

| NFS U: New Nvidia Forceware Driver (Release 60) |

Owner of a GeForce FX 5950 Ultra can be happy. With the new Nvidia Forceware driver (Release 60) the background object lighting in Need for Speed Underground under Windows XP won't be displayed wrong anymore.
The update to the new driverversion 61.76 is suggested to all owners of a Nvidia graphic card, because the release 60 is a new milestone in Nvidia's driver history. So there are performance and stability improvements, the support of the GeForce 6800 and support of PCI Express-based NVIDIA GPUs and many other improvements.

 Now there are already many screenshots and movies of Need for Speed Underground 2 available. Electronic Arts only confirmed that the Mazda RX-8 will be in the game, but based on the media material we made a list which cars will be available in Need for Speed Underground 2.

Our affiliate NFS-Players could ask the developers of Need for Speed Underground 2 some questions and got some interesting answers. So on every console version of NfS Underground 2 there will be a splitscreen mode, but not on PC.
A damage model will be included, more tracks, new car physics and more music. PC and PS2 will not be able play online against each other.

| NFSU2: 15 new movies & Hands-On |

Because of the recent pressevent "Hot Summer Night" of Electronic Arts there is a lot of new information about Need for Speed Underground 2.
The two onlinemagazines IGN and Gamespot both wrote a "Hands-On" report. In this articles they describe the artificial intelligence of the opponents should be way more aggressive than in its predecessor.
Additionally the present a new mode, the Street X Mode ("Street Cross" pronounced):
"The Street X mode is an entirely different beast with cars racing along tiny tracks with 30-40 second lap times. Strongly reminiscent of go kart racing and the drift racks from the original game, these races feature lots of tight turns and u-turns. The AI on these tracks have been tuned to be increasingly aggressive so that instead of cars following a line through the turns, they instead bash off of each other for a much more violent experience.
Additionally to the Hands-On articles both onlinemagazines published on the whole 15 new videos of Need for Speed Underground 2. 13 of them are in-game scenes, one a developer interview with Greg Uhler and a really short trailer. You can find the videos under the following links:

 Since the E3 in Los Angeles we have a screen recorded E3 Trailer of Need for Speed Underground 2 in our movies-section. Now Electronic Arts released on the official Need for Speed website the trailer in a higher quality. The video is in the quicktime format and has 8,5 MB.
