NFSMW: Interview with Blacklist Tournament winner Tuesday, 23.08.2005
Blacklist TournamentAfter the Need for Speed Most Wanted Blacklist Tournament recently took place in Chicago, the winner Matt Shirvis was interviewed by the community team. Among other things, he talks about his close victory and drift racing:

CT: The Blacklist Tournament is the only place where people can see the upcoming Need for Speed Most Wanted game. What did you think of the game?

Matt: I think the game has made a real improvement with the police back in action for a while it seemed like something was missing but EA Games really hit the nail on the head with this one.

CT: You scored some heavy prizes by winning Chicago's tournament including an Xbox and some games. But the real thrill had to be the drift along ride with Tarzan Yamada. What was that like? Had you ever done anything like that before?

Matt: The ride was incredible and just plain amazing. I have messed around with my brothers car and my car but nothing of that magnitude I mean I couldn't even come close to what he is doing all the time when he started doing the doughnuts you couldn't see any thing. When I got out of the car I was just covered in rubber from it coming in the windows it was awesome.

CT: Are you a big fan of drift racing? Or did you just come to the event for the Blacklist Tournament? =)

Matt: Sorry to say I actually went for the drifting. I like to think that I'm a big fan of drifting but I really can't say that I cam because I have never done it.

"I was invited to a Need for Speed Community Day event held by EA in Vancouver, BC, Canada on the 18th and the 19th of August 2005 - the reason: to experience the new upcoming game from the series: Need For Speed Most Wanted. What we got was a two day EA experience with lots of play time, our own little blacklist tournament, a tour of EA Canada studios and lots talking with the developers of NFSMW."

There's a third part of the report about to come, of course we will inform you when it's published.
