 The onlinemagazine IGN published four new screenshots of Need for Speed Most Wanted, which show the recently revealed cars: Aston Martin DB9, Lamborghini Gallardo and Chevrolet Cobalt.

 As it seems user called "Krysta" could play a alpha-version of Need for Speed Most Wanted.
According to him there was no driftmode (in this version), but you can drift around the corners quite well. It's not sure if there's really no driftmode. He saw 89 cars but maybe more or less. These are those which he can remember:
- Fiat Punto (most likely the Fiat Abarth)
- VW Golf V
- Lamborghini Murcielago
- Lamborghini Gallardo
- Mazda RX7
- Porsche 911 Turbo & S
- Chevrolet Corvette C6
- Mitsubishi Eclipse 06
- Mitsubishi Eclipse Spider
- Mitsubishi Evo 8
- Ford GT
- Dodge Viper SRT 10
Some of them are already known and acknowledged by EA. According to our User Joe-Racer the Fiat Abarth was already shown on the IAA in Frankfurt and a movie where it is in the game.

| NFSMW: Collector's Edition is coming! |

 Electronic Arts is going to make a Collector's Edition of Need for Speed Most Wanted with some exclusive materials!
In celebration of Need of Speed's 10th year anniversary, EA announced today that it will be shipping a Need for Speed Most Wanted collector’s edition in November, in conjunction with the launch of the game for PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, PSP, Nintendo DS, GBA, PC and Mobile. The Xbox 360 version of the game will also ship as an Xbox 360 launch title. More details to follow.
The collector’s edition titled, Need for Speed Most Wanted Black Edition, will feature exclusive cars, races and specially-tuned rides, as well as a bonus DVD with behind the scenes footage of model/actress, Josie Maran, concept art, exclusive videos and much more. Need for Speed Most Wanted Black Edition will be available for the PS2, Xbox and PC.
Need for Speed Most Wanted combines the thrill of open-world street racing and customization with the intensity of strategic police pursuits. Need for Speed Most Wanted is the next release in the hit racing series that challenges players to become the most notorious and elusive street racer.

| NFSMW: EA sends out demos in North America |

You are so lucky to live in North America and still have no demo of Need for Speed Most Wanted? Now you have the possibility to get one from EA - but only if you are fast enough:
Hey Guys,
We're going to do some demo fulfillment internally for the first 100 gamers. If you are interested in obtaining a demo for XBOX and PlayStation 2 ONLY (sorry, no NGC or PC), then please do the following:
Send ONE e-mail to nfs@ea.com with Demo Request in the subject line.
In that e-mail, include the following:
Name
Mailing Address
Platform Version (Xbox or PS2)
That should do it. Demos will be mailed on a weekly basis, so expect it within two weeks of your e-mail request.
Couple things to note:
1) Our team is doing this manually, so while there may be a couple kinks in the system, we'll try to get as many out as quickly as possible.
2) We'd like to start off small to ensure we'll be able to manage the number of requests. This is why we're starting w/ 100 only. We plan on opening this up after we get the process streamlined. If you're number 101, you'll be first in line when we start up again.
3) Apologies to our international brethren. Right now we can only support North America (yes, Canada, that means you.)
4) Only one e-mail request per person. Those who spam are subject to e-mail deletion.
Alright. With the "rules" out of the way, let's get it on!

Newsflash: We just got a note from Electronic Arts that the following cars are officially acknowledged to be in Need for Speed Most Wanted:
- Aston Martin DB9
- Lamborghini Murcielago
- General Motors Cadillac CTS
- General Motors Cobalt SS
We hope we can present you some screenshots of these cars soon.
Update: The Lamborghini Murcielago has been revised, they meant the Lamborghini Gallardo! They didn't want to answer on the question what's about the Murcielago...I guess we all know what that means. ;)

Also the onlinemagazine 1UP was on the TGS 2005 in Tokyo and wrote a short report about the Xbox 360 version of Need for Speed Most Wanted.
Here is an excerpt:
One of the more notable features that enhance this feeling of the cops barring down on you is how the game will filter loads of voice samples your way of the police talking about where you are going and what you are doing. At one point, we drove off the main road and didn't even realize where we had gone right away until we heard "he's in a parking lot" over the police speakers, and realized we were in just such a place. It can be intimidating when you're trying to escape and you hear the police talking about you from behind.
Beyond the obvious audio and visual upgrades, the 360 version of Most Wanted will also include less blatant improvements over the current generation versions, such as the ability to fit more police cars on the screen chasing you at once (15-20, over the current gen's 10-15), and a constantly changing day/night cycle (that never really goes to night time, but it rotates from morning to midday to dusk and back to morning).
It's hard to say at this point whether Most Wanted will be the best looking racer on Xbox 360 this year, but it's certainly looking extremely nice at this point, and assuming the few little graphical hiccups and imperfections get ironed out between now and its release, we should be looking at one of the most exciting 360 launch games.

Last weekend the Need for Speed Most Wanted Blacklist Tournament was in Atlanta. On the official website you now can find the recap of this tournament.
The onlinemagazine IGN published a new Off-Screen Video of Need for Speed Most Wanted, which has the name "Catchin' Air".
