NFS PS: Video about the Career in better quality |
Tuesday, 14.08.2007 |
A new video of Need for Speed ProStreet was published - this time featuring the career mode.
Street-Racing is getting more organized and this time EA follows this trend in Need for Speed ProStreet. You don't drive around in the neighborhood anymore, you're now competing at the world stage. In the careermode you have to dominate in four street-racing styles, in order to be accepted as the new "Street King": Drift, Drag, Grip and the new mode Speed-Challenge.
You'll get to know more when watching the video:
(Thanks to Renifer for the info)
Update:
Due to a misunderstanding I have to say that this movie isn't new - it was already published last week at Gamespot. At least you now can download the movie in higher quality (WMV H264), if you like. :)

NFS PS: Video-Interview mit John Doyle |
Sunday, 12.08.2007 |
The dutch onlinemagazin InsideGamer.nl published a new video-interview with the producer of EA Black Box John Doyle. The speaker in the background speaks dutch unfortunately, but at least John speaks in english. ;)
The video itself doesn't contain any new information; the video-sequences shown were already in earlier published videos and the topics John talks about, are already known. For you the tuning might be interesting - in older NFS games EA had only approximately 40 parameters to make the cars feel believable - in Need for Speed ProStreet it will be 400!
You can go very deep in tuning your cars and you're able to save your tuning modifications to a car as a "blueprint".
A blueprint is a plan, which defines which tuning parts are built in your car - it is possible to apply a blueprint to other cars. This is quite useful, because you can share your blueprints online with friends. If they win races with your blueprint, you're being acknowledged as the tuner in their rankings. There will also be leaderboards showing who is the best tuner.
We'll get to know more about that during the summer.
You can watch the video here:

NFS PS: At the Games Convention |
Friday, 10.08.2007 |
As every year Electronic Arts has its booth at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. The convention takes place from 23rd - 26th August 2007. This year Electronic Arts is building a new innovative booth, which was developed from students of the Cologne International School of Design (KISD).
Tina Wollemann, Head of Trade & Event Marketing at EA Deutschland says: "As every year we want to be present at the most important gaming convention in Europe. We wanted a booth, which is innovative, enthuses the audience and offers much place for entertainment. The concept of the KISD convinced us completely and I am sure that we can tie up to the success of the last years."
From August, 10th you can watch the build-up of the booth live per webcam on the website from EA Germany about the Games Convention www.gc.electronic-arts.de (german).
Of course EA is also showing Need for Speed ProStreet at the games convention - according to rumours the game will be shown on the platforms Xbox 360, PS2 and Wii. So if you visit the Games Convention, you should pay EA a visit. :)
