| NFS The Run: Demo released |

 The demo of Need for Speed The Run is already available for Xbox360 and Playstation 3. European users will get the PS3 version today during the PSN store update. PC gamers unfortunately don't get any demo.
The demo contains two events: Desert Hills of California and Independence Pass of Colorado. You'll be able to drive with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni and if you share the demo with your friends, you can unlock the Porsche 911 Carrera S 2012 Edition.
Additionally you can use AUTOLOG to track your records and compare them with your friends.
The demo is playable until November 1st (November 2nd for European PS3), after that the servers are being prepared for the launch of the game on November 17th.

| NFS The Run: Christina Hendricks & Sean Faris as Sam and Jack |

After the two Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models EA announced two new characters to star in Need for Speed The Run: Christina Hendricks (Mad Man) and Sean Faris (known from Vampire Diaries) are starring the main characters Sam Harper and Jack Rourke!
Christina Hendricks, the Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actress who plays the gorgeous, bold and savvy Joan Harris (née Holloway) in the hit AMC drama Mad Men, makes her videogame debut in Need for Speed The Run as Sam Harper: a woman with ambition, street smarts and a penchant for lightning fast cars. She's turned her lifelong passion into a lucrative livelihood, managing the best drivers in the cutthroat world of outlaw street racing. In this illicit, male-dominated racket, she's betting on Jack, the story's protagonist, by fronting his $250K race buy-in in hopes of winning the $25 million prize. It's Sam that enables Jack to enter the race as she remains his eyes and ears on the course.
"It's very exciting to be part of Need for Speed The Run. I've never been a video game character before so this is definitely a first for me. It's been fantastic fun to do something so different and to show a different side of myself as well," said Christina Hendricks.
Sean Faris (The Vampire Diaries, Never Back Down), one of Hollywood's up-and-coming leading men, gets in the driver's seat as Jack Rourke in Need for Speed The Run. One of the best drivers around, Jack's cockiness and arrogance has led him into a debt he can't repay. The mob has put a price on his head, and it's a lofty one. He's looking for a way out and only Sam can help. His only chance of survival is to enter and win the race to New York.
"I've definitely done my share of intense action scenes in movies but it's totally different and thrilling to actually be a character and driver in Need for Speed The Run. I got a kick out of seeing myself in the game, it's totally me! I'm a huge fan of the Need for Speed series so I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the game," said Sean Faris.

| NFS The Run: Exclusive Cars for Playstation 3 |

According to Gamerzines EA revealed a list of cars to be included exclusively in the Playstation 3 version of Need for Speed The Run.
The following seven supercars will be exclusive to the PS3 version:
- Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
- Hennessey Venom GT
- GUMPERT apollo s
- Lamborghini Countach QV5000
- Koenigsegg Agera R
- Lexus LFA
- Porsche Carrera GT
There is no information on other console (or PC?) exclusives.

| NFS World: SpeedBoost gets a new name |

 SpeedBoost, the virtual currency in the play 4 free game Need for Speed World will soon be renamed to Play4Free Funds.
Three other EA Games, Lord of Ultima, Battlefield Heroes and Battlefield Play4Free have their own virtual currency and will be merged to the new name Play4Free Funds. This allows you to use the money to enjoy other Play4Free titles.
The currency will be renamed on November 16, 2011. More information will be posted closer to the time of change.
