Unsere Partnerseite NFSUnlimited hat mit den Produzenten von Need for Speed Carbon ein Interview geführt und dabei einige interessante Punkte angesprochen. Hier ein kleiner Auszug: NFSUnlimited.net: Features like 'catch-up' and performance matching in recent games have gamers crying foul. Does this philosophy continue in Carbon? Kristian von Fersen: We've spent a lot of time this year balancing the AI and tuning the various car classes and tiers within them. Overall, I think that players will notice a much more realistic experience based on the different performance levels of the cars. For instance, it makes sense that a car such as the Mazda RX8 can't keep up with a car like a Lamborghini Murciélago and vice versa. As players progress through the game, they'll reach certain points where the car they're driving just can't quite compete with the competition and they'll have to head to the car lot to make a step up in performance. I think this is a key difference from Most Wanted where you could, through the use of upgrades, make a low end car that could compete with some of the fastest cars in the game. Unser Hoster Gameswelt.de hat auf seiner Website gestern zwei neue Videos über Need for Speed Carbon veröffentlicht: Das erste Video bringt euch die Online Features des Spiels näher und wiegt 256MB. Im zweiten, 32MB großen Video sind Spielszenen zu sehen, die auf der X06, der Xbox-Messe von Microsoft, gedreht wurden. NFSMW: WCG National Finals Österreich	Montag, 02.10.2006
Letztes Wochenende, also vorgestern und gestern, fanden in Wien im Studio44 die österreichischen National Finals der World Cyber Games statt. Basierend auf den Turnierergebnissen sieht das österreichische Team, das Ende Oktober nach Monza zu den Grand Finals fahren darf, folgendermaßen aus: Apathy, seste, PapsT, squad, gore vom Clan MiA (Counter Strike) TCS ShiSha (Dead or Alive 4) youlian (Dawn of the War) SK-Gaming\|mario, mTw\|vamp (FIFA 2006) mouz\|Salvadore (Need for Speed: Most Wanted) ATroX Gamie, TCS SackL (Project Gotham Racing 3) ID\|Firestrike (Warcraft III) Parallel dazu gab es im Studio 44 eine Presseveranstaltung von Electronic Arts, bei der ich vor Ort eine deutsche Vorabversion von Need for Speed Carbon auf der Xbox360 ausprobieren konnte. NFSMW: Trasy HLC Video	Sonntag, 01.10.2006
Die Kollegen von Needforspeed.pl haben mich gebeten eine News über folgendes Video zu posten. Es ist immerhin von einem der besten polnischen Most Wanted Spieler (2ter bei den WCG Polen 2006) gemacht, wiegt 370 MB, dauert 17 Minuten und zeigt mehrere Fahrten aus NFS Underground 2 und NFS Most Wanted wo der Fahrer mit Karacho die Strecken abfährt.
