| NFS World: Valentinstag Update |

 Need for Speed World erhält diese Nacht ein neues Update, das neben zahlreichen Bugfixes das Spiel für den Valentinstag vorbereitet!
So gibt wieder "Schöne und das Biest" Editionen- die Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition “2012 Beauty” und Lexus LFA “2012 Beast”. Die beiden Beauty und Beast Wagen aus letztem Jahr sind auch wieder dabei. Gleichzeitig gibt es ein Valentine Aftermarket Card Pack, mit exklusiven Valentinstag-Neons und Nummerntafeln.
Zusätzlich gibt es zwei neue Team Escape Events: “High Stakes” and “Underground”.
Nachfolgend findet ihr die kompletten Änderungen die das Update bringt:
Neue Features:
- Chat enhancements:
- Players are now able to chat while in the Safehouse
- When sending a whisper to another Driver, a separate chat filter is created to allow the player to see a record of the conversation between two players
- A notification icon will appear when receiving updates to specific chat filters
- Two new Team Escape events have been added to the game: “High Stakes” and “Underground”
- For a limited time only, A Valentine Aftermarket Card Pack is available for purchase and includes exclusive Valentine’s Day Neons and License Plates
- The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 “2011 Beast” has been reintroduced to Need for Speed World and is available for purchase from the Car Dealer
- The Lexus IS F “2011 Beauty” has been reintroduced to Need for Speed World and is available for purchase from the Car Dealer
- An all new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition “2012 Beauty” has been added to the game and is available for purchase from the Car Dealer
- An all new Lexus LFA “2012 Beast” has been added to the game and is available for purchase form the Car Dealer
Bug Fixes/Änderungen:
- Existing Team Escape events have been adjusted for difficulty. Time limits are now shorter, while Rep and Cash rewards have increased
- The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has undergone retuning to increase the car’s top speed and enhance its handling
- The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 bumper cam has been adjusted
- The Lexus LFA’s engine sound has been changed to match the real-life acoustics of the LFA’s V10 4.8L engine and multi-stage exhaust system
- The Lexus IS F has undergone retuning to increase the car’s top speed and enhance its handling
- A 7th gear has been added to the Lexus IS F
- The Lexus IS F’s bumper cam has been adjusted
- The “/f” friends chat functionality has been fixed
- Fixed an issue that caused exhaust tips to clip into the Lamborghini Countach 5000 QUATTROVALVOLE’s body when equipped with visual packages
- Fixed an issue that caused 2 steering wheels to appear on the Nissan 200SX while in minimum level of detail
- Some missing vinyl thumbnail images were added for the Koenigsegg CCX “Elite”
- Some minor world/environment fixes were made
- Some missing mouse-over SFX were added when highlighting elements in the Aftermarket Shop

| Shift 2 Unleashed: Server Update |

 Heute wird ein Update bei den Shift 2 Unleashed Servern eingespielt, als dessen Folge es nicht mehr möglich sein wird, das EA ACCOUNT PASSWORT aus dem Spiel heraus zu ändern!
Wer trotzdem sein Passwort ändert, erhält künftig eine Fehlermeldung, dass das neue Password nicht gültig ist.
Wichtig für PC Spieler: Wenn das Passwort außerhalb des Spiels geändert wurde (z.B. über ORIGIN), ist es nicht mehr möglich sich bei AUTOLOG einzuloggen. Im Extremfall muss der Speicherstand gelöscht werden bzw. die Karriere neu angefangen werden, um sich wieder bei Autolog anmelden zu können.

Wieder zwei neue Wagen für Need for Speed World: der Pontiac Solstice GXP und Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione RALLY Edition:
Der Solstice GXP verstärkt mit seinen 260 PS das Tier 1 Segment. Der Turbolader ist mit einer Turbine in Leichtbauweise ausgerüstet, die ihre Power unmittelbar beim Start bringt und daher für einen echten Blitzstart sorgt.
Der Delta HF Integrale hingegen brint etwas Rally-Feeling in NFS World:
Die Rennversion des Delta HF Integrale dominierte die World Rally Championship mit 46 Podiumsplätzen zwischen 1987 und 1992 und nahm auch in jedem Jahr die Konstrukteurs Championship mit nach Hause. Der 4-Rad Antrieb und der turbogeladene Motor haben dabei einen guten Anteil.
Die "Rally" Version demonstriert hierbei bildlich den Spaß am "Spielen im Dreck". Der dreifarbige Streifen ehrt die italienischen Wurzeln, während der Rest als Symbol für die glorreichen Tage steht. Mit verbreiterter Spur und Body ist der Delta HF ein AWD Terror im Schlamm und eine wahre Freude auf der Straße.
So würde sich jeder echte Rally-Rennwagen anziehen wollen, der etwas auf sich hält - bedeckt mit Schlamm! Zögere nicht und hole dir den Delta HF beim Car Dealer!

| EA: Umgestaltung und Entlassungen bei EA Vancouver |

 EA Vancouver, der Sitz von EA Canada und EA Black Box macht momentan eine "Transformation" durch und muss gleichzeitig eine unbestimmte Zahl an Mitarbeitern entlassen. Gegenüber IndustryGamers spricht EA von einer "kleinen Anzahl":
“EA in Vancouver is transforming its studio to align with EA’s transformation to high-growth digital formats, including online, social gaming and free-to-play. Employees in our BC studio are learning new skills and working on digital games and services, and there are many examples. Developed at the EA SPORTS studio in Burnaby, the FIFA Soccer franchise represents the cutting edge of AAA gaming integrated with multiplatform extensions and online features. The Need for Speed World team in Burnaby is leading the digital transformation with 11 million registered players. As the BC studio makes this transformation, a small number of employees are being impacted while most others are being retrained, redeployed and rolling-on to new projects.”
Ob tatsächlich auch Mitarbeiter von EA Black Box betroffen sind, ist bisher noch nicht bekannt, jedoch ist Need for Speed World Vorreiter in der digitalen Transformation und wird wohl mit Sicherheit auch in Zukunft eine wichtige Rolle bei EA spielen.
Erst unlängst musste EA beim letzten Quartalsergebnis abermals einen Verlust von 205 Mio. US-Doller hinnehmen, doch in digitalen Verkäufen zeigt der Umsatz von über 1 Milliarde US-Dollar für 2011 in eine eindeutige Richtung.
