Need for Speed Hot Pursuit won at the Video Game Awards 2010 in their category "Best Driving Game" and left Blur, Split/Second and Modnation Racers behind. The Video Game Awards is an annual event to honor the outstanding achievements within the video game industry over the past year. Gran Turismo 5 wasn't eligible for nomination due to the late release date. This should make next year's VGA 2011 quite interesting, as GT5 then will be compared with the direct competitor Shift 2 Unleashed. Additionally Forza 4 was announced directly at the VGA 2010.
