There is a patch for Need for Speed Carbon in development, which will be necessary for online play on PC. If you attempt to play online without having this patch installed you will access a "ENTER CD KEY" screen that you will not be able to circumvent. In order to pass this screen you will need to install the patch and re-enter your CD Key. It doesn't add any new features. You'll get to know here once the patch is released.

id like to know if there will be any patch to make able to play lan games like MW cuz for ppl that wont buy licence, this should be important cuz they can play through hamachi and plan.

Hello,

I am writing here, because there's a big security issue with Need For Speed Carbon savegames and I think that the users should be warned as soon as possible. The problem is that the game CD-KEY which is used to access EA Nation and to play online games is saved in plain text format in the savegame file. Please warn all your visitors that they should not give out their savegames to anyone or they could face problems with their accounts at EA Online. Technicaly someone could abuse their CDKEYs!

Please notify the users. This should be spread out as fast as possible.

it is clearly said that the pactch won't add or replace nothing. it is just for activating the online playing
