Criterion Games was in charge of the development of the Need for Speed series the last years and released the games Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and Need for Speed Most Wanted, the last one only few months ago. If the studio will work on Need for Speed in the future is not known yet, but Criterions Creative Director Alex Ward tweeted an interesting question: "If we were to make a sequel to Burnout Paradise - what should be in it? #BurnoutParadise2" But even if Criterion will concentrate on Burnout rather than Need for Speed in the near (or far) future, there are already rumours that a NFS game will be developed by EA Gothenburg.
