Auf der offiziellen Need for Speed Underground Webseite ist ein Interview mit Michelle Frey, zuständig für Audio Engineering erschienen. Auszug: CT: How much of an impact do you think having accurate, authentic sound makes on a game? There is a big difference between driving a V4, 132bHP to a fully modified turbo in-line 6, 300bHP with a whole lot of torque. Then again take nitrous. You would never hear it in the real world. How totally unsatisfying for the user if we kept it authentic! So for game play you have to push things a little and accentuate the sound to give the user a satisfying experience.
