Seit dem 18 November war es nicht mehr möglich das noch immer sehr beliebte Spiel NFS High Stakes online zu spielen. In den Foren von NFBS wurde vor kurzem eine E-Mail von EA-Caddy veröffentlicht, die bestätigt, was schon von vielen befürchtet worden war: "By now, I know you have heard the news that EAOR is going to be sunsetted (closed). EA will not simply close them down... we'll give a month's notice. In any event, the notice is coming soon. I hate it but it's true." Übersetzt heißt das, dass EA Online Racing geschlossen wird, mehr oder weniger um Motor City Online Platz zu machen. Allerdings wird es vorher eine offizielle Bekanntgabe geben...
