| Verkaufen der MCO Teile @ Ebay ist nicht mehr erlaubt |

 Mehrere Spieler haben ihre virtuellen Besitztümer aus Motor City Online, also Cars, Parts oder Geld bei der bekannten Onlineauktion Ebay verkauft. Wie Michael Waite nun schreibt, hat das Team zwar zuerst amüsiert zugesehen, und sich gefreut, dass Teile aus ihrem Spiel auch realen Wert bekommen, doch leider spielen sich diese Transaktionen in einer Umgebung ab, die sie nicht kontrollieren können, und somit auch nicht supporten können.
Deswegen haben sie eine neue Policy erschaffen:
All activities taking place outside of the game environment (i.e., outside of Electronic Arts properties) are illegal, and will not be supported by the MCO staff. While we don't actively police eBay and similar sites, nor will we respond to player complaints that involve transactions made outside the MCO environment. Players who choose to use these sites do so at their own risk. All in-game items (cars, parts, cash, etc.) are the property of Electronic Arts, and the MCO managers reserve the right to remove these items from the inventory of any player who has broken MCO's Terms of Service… regardless of how much real-world money was paid on eBay. |
