| Rumour: NFS 12 Announcement soon? |

With NFS Underground the game developed to a series, which is being released every year. Last year EA published Need for Speed ProStreet and for this year we may can expect an announcement of the next NFS game soon.
As  Tech2.com reports, they could squeeze some information out of NFS Producer John Doyle:
When asked about the new Need for Speed game, Doyle told me that EA would be making a formal announcement in the next 3-4 months. Even though he didn’t quite come out and say it, he was hinting at the fact that they may go back to the whole Most Wanted-ish sandbox style of gameplay (finally!)
Also expect a brand new game mechanic since Doyle claims that every NFS game out there brings something new to the table. Undergound had the whole tuner scene happening, Most Wanted was just plain awesome, Carbon had Autoscultping and Canyon Duels, while Pro Street was... uhh, crap?
We will see, what the new NFS will bring and if EA will be able to learn from the mistakes in ProStreet.

Need For Speed: Battlefield 2: you can autosculpt your own j-10's and after get teamkilled in it.

as he said he will tell us about the next nfs game in 3 or 4 months there a big chance tht the game will not come out in 08 it will come out in 09
im must saying this becuase as u no tht we all knew about the old nfs game like carbon and prostreet around this time of the year before april that was its about and the name

What do ya'll think about those 1337 names for the new nfs: "most underground" "underground wanted"
"most carbon" "underground carbon" or "the-next-nfs-will-probably-cost-70$"

New game mechanic...oh god ¬¬ im scared again xD
Remember my flames last year on pro street? Dunno how many times ive said " I TOLD YA SO " =P, coz it was a bad game.
The new game mechanic should be...destructable buildings LOL! xD
Ok seriously it should be like "smarter cops/ai/everything" or...engines blowing up from overheat etc...
Oh i dunno too late for brainstorming.
Looking forward to the return of "sandbox" NFS, like it should be...
Oh i know! Better traffic w/ abilty to piss them off, drive right up behind them, rev yer engines, drag off the red lights, just some interaction w/ the traffic would be great, maybe then try and run away from ya? try to bash you off the road...freightliners causing road blocks to help cops out? That would be cool :P. I want them dam peasents (aka the AI) to feel our wrath of mighty machines!!!!

Some requests that I wish to see in the next NFS: 1.BRING BACK ILLEGAL RACING PLEASE!
2. Improved damage.
3. Improved customization.
4. Bigger city to race in, maybe even multiple cities like in Midnight Club.
5.Hundreds of cars to choose from.
6.Make it the most realistic experience ever! I'm talking about a full day and night cycle, realistic weather effects, smarter cops, and more.
These are just some ideas.

The answer
I know how to make it better! It's simple: Take everything that made the previous NFS games fun and put it in the next game, along with some new improvements and features! Is that to much to ask?

Well pro street brought in the damage system wich well... literally sucked those big round things, but i somewhat enjoyed it for about 5 minutes. Looking forward for Most Wanted -2- maybe? Well see!
