Obwohl es in den letzten Wochen noch Lebenszeichen gab, ist es nun endgültig fix. Am 20. Oktober wird EA Racing komplett abgeschaltet. Als Begründung gilt, sich auf zukünftige Spiele zu konzentrieren.

On October 20, 2003, the Need for Speed High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed servers will no longer be in service. After a fun run of over 3 years of online racing with High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed, Electronic Arts has made the difficult decision to close these EA Racing servers in order to focus resources on future games. We want to thank the many thousands of racers that logged on to these servers and who made the online beta test a great success.
