Das Onlinemagazin Gamespot hatte die Gelegenheit Need for Speed Underground auf allen Plattformen zu spielen. Im Preview wird eigentlich nur näher auf den Drift Modus eingegangen. So wird geschrieben, dass es auf die Faktoren Geschwindigkeit, Drehung und Dauer des Drifts ankommt.
