Auf Stratics ist ein Player Guide für die Anfänger von Motor City Online erschienen. Er nennt sich BigBen's School of Hard Knocks und umfasst nicht nur, wie man am einfachsten die ersten fünf Level erreicht, sondern auch Beschreibungen der Wagen, und dem sogenannten 'Scam Avoidance'. 'Scamming' bedeutet übersetzt 'betrügen', dass vor allem Newbies ihre Wagen "geklaut" werden, unter dem Vorwand man müsse etwas richten, könne es erweitern usw.
