| NFS 9: New concept |

As Electronic Arts Germany replied our affiliate NFSSD, they are planning a new or different concept for the next Need for Speed part:
"In the first part of NFSU many ideas of the developer team have not been integrated, that's why a direct successor with the tuning-concept made sense. Underground 2 is a very felicitous and extensive game.
The new NFS will contain many new elements, which will heavily differentiate themselves from NFSU2. But unfortunately you have to be patient. EA will present the new concept in May 2005."

| NFSU2: Also for Nintendo DS |

 The Nintendo DS (Dualscreen) is Nintendo's answer to Sony's PSP (Playstation Portable). For the Nintendo DS Electronic Arts announced that they develop a game called NFS Underground Rivals. Nintendo-Insanity wrote a preview, where they announce that NFS Underground 2 will be released for the Nintendo DS in the first quarter 2005.
According to PlanetDS (german) NFS Underground Rivals will also be developed for the Nintendo DS.

| NFSU2: Holiday Jam Sweepstakes |

You want to win a NFS Underground 2 Prize Pack? Electronic Arts announced the "Need for Speed Underground 2 Holiday Jam Sweepstakes". All you have to do is playing one multiplayer game with at least one other online player on the EA online service using Need for Speed Underground 2 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox or the PC between the hours of 12:01 AM PST Wednesday December 22, 2004, and 11:59 PM PST Friday December 31, 2004, (the "Sweepstakes Period"), and you will be automatically entered into the prize drawings. You may also enter by emailing your name and email address to nfscontests@ea.com during the Sweepstakes Period. Please include "Need for Speed Underground 2 Holiday Jam" in the subject line.
Unfortunately this contest is only open to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and Canada (except Quebec).
Three winners will each receive one Need for Speed Underground 2 Prize Pack consisting of one Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel, and one Need for Speed Underground 2 T-shirt (the "Prize").

 Juiced is the strongest rival of Need for Speed Underground 2. THQ (the new publisher after the bancruptcy of Acclaim) announced in a press release, that the game will be in stores in May 2005 for PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC. The time until then should be used for implementing more cars and features.

| NFSU2: Wallpaper Contest Winner announced |

The winner of the Wallpaper contest at the official Need for Speed Underground 2 website has been announced: it is jmh7119, who can be happy about a Logitech® Z-5500 Digital Speaker System and a Logitech® Driving Force™ Pro wheel.
You can watch the picture under the following link.. Unfortunately the wallpaper has only a resolution of 800x600, but we hope that EA will publish it in higher resolutions too.
Additionally there is a section "Honorable Mentions", where the other good entries are shown:
