The NFS Webseite NFSAddons is doing a little competition this year: the NFSAddons Awards 2008! All cars uploaded to the site between December 1st 2007 and November 30th 2008 are eligible to receive votes, while each user can vote for up to 10 different cars. The winners of this contest will be announced on January 1st 2009.

| NFS UC: Takedown Episode 2 |

| NFS UC: Patch coming? |

You need a quite good system to play Need for Speed Undercover on the PC, but the framerate has also been criticized on the Xbox360 and PS3 versions as well. The swiss onlinemagazine Gbase.ch asked Electronic Arts Germany, if there is a patch planned, which can fix the slowdowns and dropouts. A PR-Manager confirmed, that EA is working on a solution, but there is no further information available at the moment.

| NFS UC: High-Definition Texture Pack |

An7hraX hat created a High-Definition Texture Pack for Need for Speed Undercover, which improves the textures in the game and shows them sharper and more detailed:
This patch modifies the textures in a way how they actually should have been, sharp and crispy. Primary I changed nearly all ground textures, borders, vegetation and even some traffic signs, buildings & props. The texture sizes are untouched to ensure best performance. Some guys complained about the excessive High-Dynamic-Range effects in the game, I think they look quite neat with some colorcorrection, so I included the EnbSeries hack from Boris Vorontsov with an adapted config. !!! Caution !!! PUNKBUSTER can kick/ban you for using the d3d9.dll during online matches !

| Need for Speed Portal launched! |

The new Need for Speed Portal just saw the light of the day! The new official NFS website launched today and shall become the new place to go for NFS fans. Apart from various news, interviews and videos it contains the new MyNFS section, where you can login with your EA account and see your statistics in NFS Undercover, like your career progress, races and achievements. You will also find your pictures you've taken in the photomode in NFS Underocver.
Additionally you can access the Leaderboards and browse through the new community section.
