| NFS Shift available for iPhone/iPod Touch |

 Need for Speed Shift was released for iPhone and iPod Touch and is available at the iTunes Store! Naturally the mobile version experienced some cutbacks compared to its biger brothers, but with 20 licensed and fully customizable cars, 18 race tracks and 20 soundtracks this game is one of the upper-level iPhone games.
Also the reviews out there give good ratings. Only downside could be, that only owners of an iPhone 3GS get to see the full graphic effects, but these are worth it, as  Kotaku writes:
It's Sooo Pretty: I really wish I could afford an iPhone 3Gs — the graphics were smooth enough to make me want to lick the touch screen*.
*Never lick your touch screen — aside from being plain gross, it's dangerous. Do you have any idea how much bacteria is on that thing?
Also the onlinemagazine IGN seems to like the game:
I thought only console players saw their triple-A games bunched up in the fourth quarter of the year, but it seems the App Store is enjoying a similar bounty in 2009. Hands down the best iPhone racer since Real Racing, Need for Speed Shift offers a superlative single-player career that will keep your hands glued to your iPhone for hours. As somebody that is still enjoying Shift on the Xbox 360, seeing such a strong translation to the iPhone is exceedingly heartening. Well done.

| NFS Shift: Patch v1.02 & Team Racing Pack for PC |

Finally the PC users can get their hands on the latest Patch v1.02 for Need for Speed Shift - conveniently packed with the previously announced DLC: the Team Racing Pack! The Team Racing Pack is a free extension pack featuring a new game mode (Team Racing) and five new cars.

IMPORTANT: If you have modified your game in any way e.g. noCD crack or a physics mod you should be aware that if you update to the new patch you will likely have problems with the game and a clean install may be required to get the game working correct again.
Additionally, if you bought SHIFT through STEAM please don’t install this version as it’s compatible and will cause problems with your saved games.

Today on December 1st the previously announced Patch v1.02 for Need for Speed Shift is now available for Xbox360! You should be prompted for an update when starting the game - internet connection required.
Playstation 3 owner could get their hands on the patch already last week - the PC-patch should be released today, but isn't online yet.
