 EA teamed up with Amazon.com and sell new Starter Packs for Need for Speed World! You can purchase a Gold-, Silver- and Bronze Starter Pack, but at the moment they're only available in the U.S.
When talking about "Starter Packs" some of you might remember the launch of NFS World in 2010, where you had to purchase a Starter Pack in order to get past level 10. Now the Starter Packs aren't mandatory and include SpeedBosst, cars and an exclusive "V3NMOU5" license plate:

When and if these Starter Packs will be available in Europe is not known yet.

| NFS ProStreet: Shutdown of Online Services for Consoles |

 From time to time EA has to retire the online services of older games, whose amount of traffic is fewer than 1% of all peak online players across all EA titles. This time the servers of Need for Speed ProStreet will be shut down on April 13th 2012.
The online services of the PC-version of ProStreet were already shut down  last year and this time the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 servers will follow.

| NFS World: Plymouth Road Runner |

The Plymouth Road Runner '69, new in Need for Speed World is based on the Warner Bros' cartoon character "Road Runner". 1969 the car was projected to sell about 2000, instead it sold around 45,000 and was named car of the year by Motor Trend.
Everything essential to performance was beefed up un this muscle car beauty. Boasting a HEMI engine, one of the best engines of the muscle car era, and a signature lift-off fiberglass hood fastened by hood pins, the Road Runner packs enough punch for any muscle car fans.
The Plymouth Road Runner '69 is available at the car dealer in Need for Speed World.

This installer allows you to install the game under Windows Vista and Windows 7 64-bit. (Assuming you are have the game CD)

| NFS 3 Hot Pursuit: x64 Installer for Windows Vista/7 |

 The classic Need for Speed 3: Hot Pursuit (1998) doesn't play well with modern operating systems, not to mention on 64-bit systems. Most times you can't even install the game.
While there are already several installers for Vista/7 out there, we are happy to present you an x64 installer by RePlaying.de, which allows you to install the game under Windows Vista and Windows 7 64-bit. (Assuming you are have the game CD)
