 Electronic Arts now will take actions against cheaters in Need for Speed Underground!
"We will begin permanently banning players from the Demo in the coming weeks that continue to use cheats. They will still be able to get a "second chance" on the retail version but will not be able to play the Demo online. We are taking cheating very seriously in this game and will not allow a select few to ruin the online experience for everyone else."

As we already reported, there will be a patch for the Need for Speed Underground demo. Now we have more detailed information about it:
- Fixed the lobby scrolling crash
- Fixed the dual highlights in lobby room
- Extending chat length
- Fixed bug that automatically highlighted chat bar when scrolling through player names
- Adding Tab button to select chat bar
- Fixed many cheats/exploits
- Fixed reputation issues with disconnects in-game
- Fixing drop to desktop when pressing keys on the Intro Screen
- Added functionality to detect players tampering with physics.
- Working on disconnects occurring due to joining full game lobby multiple times
- Fixing Lap Time Exploits

The upcoming game Need for Speed Underground now has gone "gold", which means that the game is finished. So the game will be released on time.

The demo of Need for Speed Underground released yesterday was primarily for our European brethren as it passed the European CQC requirements before the North American one has. The NA version should be released soon, but it should not differ from the already released demo.
Additionally I updated the NFS Underground Q&A which now contains over 20 more answers to diverse questions.
And last but not least, the mirrorlist of the demo has been extended. If you have not already done so, download the demo now.

Electronic Arts released today morning the demoversion of Need for Speed Underground. The file weighs 220 MB, but therefore it contains a singleplayer- and multiplayermode!
