NFSU2: The Inside Track #4 - Customization in Underground 2 |
Friday, 15.10.2004 |
Justin Wiebe, the Associate Producer of Need for Speed Underground 2 wrote the fourth article of "The Inside Track". This time it is about the customization possibilities in NFS Underground 2.
Another big upgrade in Need for Speed Underground 2 is that body parts applied to the car will now work in conjunction with the world physics. This year, when a player installs body parts, such as spoilers, or aerodynamic body kits, these will in fact have an impact on the cars handling and performance. Body parts can improve the cars aerodynamics and spoilers can help apply different levels of downforce, depending on the spoiler installed. Players will also be able to tune these options in the performance tuning / dyno shop to get the tight handling and maneuverability they’re looking for.

NFS U: Vi-Cycle |
Friday, 15.10.2004 |
Yesterday the projects of the Fachhochschule Hagenberg (Austria) were honoured at the annually MTD Gala 2004. One of the nominees was Vi-Cycle, which has a quite interesting concept. You drive on your home trainer in front of a beamer, which shows a landscape or city, depending on how fast you are. The interesting thing is, that you're also able to drive with you bicycle on the street of Need for Speed Underground, which shows us that a computer game does not always has to be only entertainment. ;)
