NFS C: Multimedia Converter Wednesday, 10.01.2007
The russian 'CTPAX-X Team' sent us a nice tool called 'NFS Multimedia Converter', which allows you to export multimedia files of NFS Carbon, Most Wanted and Underground 2. In detail this means, that you can export the music and videos of NFS Carbon as MP3/WAV and AVI. In NFS Most Wanted and Underground 2 you can only extract the videos, but that's a nice feature too.

Further details you can find here:

NFS C: Statement to Patch Development Thursday, 04.01.2007
NFS CarbonRecently some rumours about the next part of Need for Speed popped up (we wrote about it), which included the questionable quote, that EA will not concentrate on NFS Carbon any more and in a row there might be no patch. Now some users mocked EA's caring for customers and their needs and complaints at the official EA boards. When it came to the point, that we should boykott NFS an EA rep wrote the following statement:

> obviously EA seems to care about their customer's
> complaints only to a very small extend
> Psy

Please get all facts before mouthing off in speculation. Bugs, glitches and techincal issues were collected with the diligent help of some key community members as well as the forum mods and sent to the development team for review.

Then we had a little ditty called the holiday break to which some folks have not yet returned from office from.

Until I can get some concrete intel myself, I'm not yet at liberty to say whether there will or will not be a patch. But for the record, it's my recommendation that there be one.

~ Smoothie

So the cake is not eaten yet, there is still hope. :)
If there is something new, you'll get to know here.

NFS C: Petition for Ladder at Clanbase Thursday, 04.01.2007
ClanbaseThe internationale onlineleague-portal Clanbase thinks about opening a ladder for Need for Speed Carbon.

A lot of players asked ClanBase for making a ladder (or ladders) for Need For Speed : Carbon, but till this time the support wasn't enough. After the NFS:U ladder died in some weeks, opening another NFS ladder needs now a bigger support. Maybe if this petition gets enough votes, ClanBase changes it's mind and will open a ladder.
