Need for Speed: Showcase Update Thursday, 28.01.2016
Need for SpeedNeed for Speed gets a new update next week, called the "Showcase Update"!

Among other things the game will get Snapshot Pro mode, which will allow you to create some stunning photos of your favourite car. You'll be be able to manoeuvre the camera around the car, apply a number of custom settings such as depth of field, brightness, contrast, vignette, saturation and more.

Another new feature is the possibility to share wraps with other players. You can offer your selfmade wraps for download and other players can download them and use it on their own car.

  • New Feature: Snapshot Pro Mode
  • A new "Splash" screen which gives players information on what is included in the new updates from the Living Game
  • A new Snapshot overview screen in the Need for Speed Network menu so you can find out more about your snapshots
  • Improvements to Kickbacks and likes on snapshots
  • 100+ new customization items for a variety of cars
  • License plates are back. Apply around 10 different license plates to your car for more in depth customization
  • We've made more improvements and bug fixes to multiplayer. You can now play with like-minded people, if you want to play competitive then you can now select this option when matchmaking and join a world with people who also want to play competitive.
  • 3 new Trophies and achievements
  • Drive through a Gas Station and repair your car on the fly.
  • A variety of tweaks and improvements including AI, player feedback, Gameplay and World
  • Fixed a couple of bugs for Eddie's challenge
  • Multiple stability fixes


The update will be released on February 3rd on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version of Need for Speed is not available yet, but should arrive in Spring 2016.

Next Need for Speed in the works Saturday, 23.01.2016
Need for SpeedThe latest Need for Speed was released in November 2015 for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. While we are still waiting for the PC version (Spring 2016), EA/Ghost Games is preparing for the next NFS title.

The swedisch development studio is looking for an UI Software Engineer (see » job offer), who should work on the "next Need for Speed". Additionally two other job offers describe the tasks for a » Senior Vehicle Artist and a » Development Director, which contains (among other things) working with collisions and damage. Maybe a hint for upcoming features?
