| NFS 11: Pro Street? |

 Apparently the  rumours about the name Need for Speed Pro Street some months ago weren't a lie after all...the print magazine PLAY published an article about the upcoming Need for Speed in its current isses and the game has the name Need for Speed Pro Street.
As it seems this wasn't so much pre-decided with the headquarters of Electronic Arts, because even the website electronicarts.cz used the name 'NFS Pro Street' for about two days, but now it's taken offline.
The article in the magazine PLAY shows for the first time a different car than the RX7, which was already shown in the Teaser: there will be a AUDI RS4 in the game!
Additionally they mention the minimum system requirements, but we will see if we can rely on that, because 250 MB RAM for such a game seems doesn't seem to be enough:
CPU: 1.6 GHz
RAM: 256 MB
Graphics Card: 256 MB
DVD-Drive
For really tangible information we have to wait until May 31st...

After reading everyone's comments I say I have to disagree with most of them. NFSU2, imo, is the worst NFS ever. For me, NFS 11 is a great change from all that free roaming, cop chasing action. I think it's good that EA is making a game which is similar to GTR or TDU. To be honest I am getting pretty bored of the street racing feel of NFSU up to NFSC but NFS MW still remains to be my fav NFS title.

i bet most of you people live in europe. no one screwed with the timer on the nfs site. you are only seeing things. let me explain... again. since it will be 1-2-3 am when the timer reaches 0 it will be 1-2-3 pm at them which are in the STATES... riiiiiiight across the ocean where the difference of time is only 11-12 hours. so technicaly it will still be 31st in the afternoon may for them while it will be 1st june in the first hours of the day for us. hope that helped

i cant belive wts happeningwiv EA dats suppose to be 1 of the biggest companies and that doesnt mean they should do that they should learns first math to know when is 31 st of may to 1st june EA plz.....no wtf u doin i loved the way u treat ppl now u fukin us up we all waitin and thn u jsut oppps soz were dump i meant 1 more day .....anywais i still got to say GD LUCK EA.....

eko1 is right coz yesterday i went to needforspeed.com and it said 10 hours and thn i went after 10 hours it says like 1 day 23 mins wtf r they on abwt man now its like 15 hours ii wish it doesnt say 1 year and 15 hours .....gd luck EA

i know. she was one of the 10 FHM candidates for the girl starring in the next nfs game. event organized as a welcome "party" for nfs carbon in november 2006. in january only 5 were chosen as finalists and this girl was the one who won the preselection as you can see in the magazine

I really think it will not be a legal , or even a illegal in that same matter... I think it is going to be some kind fantasy racing...
Well as in trailer.. people behind the brick walls... Race is in a some kind district. Manyfloor homes...
Looks like some kind party races....
Damn! we have race type's like that in Latvia.... Never understand are those legal.....

for nfs11 it will be cool if you can customize the interior of the car, roll bars, steering wheels and others, maybe we will can do this if the next nfs will be based on legal racing, we will see on 31 may if this idea will be real.

this game won't be like you people think. you will be convinced yourselves on 31 may. EA is aware of our requests and i don't think they are stupid enough to make a FORZA like game or TOca. don't jump to rash conclusions

how little you people know. first of all the game won't have carbon's engine. and second of all if the game would be like gtr or like forza or toca then it wouldn't be NEED FOR SPEED anymore. nfs is all about ilegal racing and tunning. didn't you people see that autosculpt will be much better in this game?? what good would that do if the game would be a sim game only? think people, think

P.S. I think this Episode will be based on Carbon engine...

those system reqs are bull***. even carbon's reqs are higher and an EA guy said that the graphics from carbon wouldn't be no where near as good as the graphics in nfs 11 will be
