NFSMW: Interview with Mat Thomas Saturday, 03.09.2005
Mat ThomasBack at the Games Convention in Germany Mat Thomas gave an interview about NFS Most Wanted.

It's quite interesting, since the current issue of the german printmagazine PC Games talks about 50 cars in NFSMW, but Mat Thomas said the following: "Well, regarding the cars I cannot tell you a final number. But it'll be around 100". As it seems he included the police- and traffic cars.

Additionally he talks about the differences of the police and the damage model:
"Yes, there are differences in the cars the cops use. This ranges from quite slow police patrol cars, over special pursuit cars, to SUVs and helicopters. All use a different strategy to pursuit the player.

In the current version there are 8 cars which can pursuit the player at the same time. But even when you have 6 cars on your tail it's enough for an adrenaline push. Because the police cars are no licensed models, they have a damage model. The possibility to drive against the police and wreck the car is a whole new element in the game.

But the cars of the players still don't take any or very little damage. First, because they are licensed and second, because they might doesn't have so much fun to drive against a wall with his new bought and tuned Porsche (or any other car) and lose it.
"

Man darf also gespannt sein...
