NFSMW: New Forceware Driver

On December 9th Nvidia released a new Forceware driver with the version 81.95. Besides improved performance for Quake 4 and Call of Duty 2 the driver contains updated application profiles to include Matrix: Path of Neo, Conflict 4 and Need for Speed Most Wanted.

There is still a problem with rendering in NFS Most Wanted, but this should be fixed in the next driver releases. But the current version already should bring some optimizations.

what do I care about SLI when I have one 6800GT ?! whatever - I haven't seen any 'rendering problems' before or after these drivers...

Driver release

I downloaded the driver, but it didn't show any improvements. Now I understand why: I don't have an SLI config. One 6600 GT should be enough...for now

BTW: what is meant exactly with 'rendering problems'? Some textural features, or the notorious stutter problem?

It's not a "new" driver (it was already available a few weeks ago), it's an updated version of the 81.95, with updated game profiles (inc. NFS:MW), but only for SLI configurations.
