| NFS C: Problems with the Savegames |

 As you may already heard from our discussion boards or news comments: There are some problems with the savegames of Need for Speed Carbon. Actually every savegame contains the CD-Key of the game which created the file, which is quite a security risk and also a reason why we haven't put any savegames online yet.
If you want to know more: If you open a savegame with a hex-editor you can find a 20 characters between the hex-offset 0000003c and 00000050 which is the CD key.
To use foreign savegames you either have to replace this code, or update the cd key of your NFS Carbon to match with the one in the savegame file.. Both not a good solution, but maybe EA will fill this security hole with a patch.
Please be patient, we're trying to upload some savegames soon.

Uploaded 3 Savegames! Where Are They!!!!
The 3 savegames I have uploaded are not posted to the website yet for some reason.
I made a savegame with all cars even the Bonus cars to carlot you can buy them and use them in Career mode, Zonda F, 1999 Eclispe, Camaro Concept, 911 GT3, Audi Lemans, cop cars, Dump Truck, Fire Engine, and all the others you can think of. E-mail the webmaster to have them post it if you want it.

RE EA Nation details
miakia, I've since seen that it DOES save your EA Nation account Name and Password, but only if you set it to save the info to the savegame when it asks you the first time connecting to EA Nation.
The name has 1 character placed into it, so, if my EA Nation account name was jhonny, it reads j(character here)honny then a bit further along on the same line it has the exact password used to login in PLAIN TEXT.
This is only if people choose to save their login details to the savegame file when they first connect.

Ea nation
first off there is no account or password in the savegame files only your Damn cd-key and if you ppl are intelligent enough.. you'll remember you can't have 2 time the same Cd-key playing online at the same time....
So this Way to regain the cd-key of a Savegame file of another player is only good if you wanna have fun in Single player and you Don't give a .... about online play.
For all of you that want's a 100% done savegame so you can play online i suggest you do your own savegame file by completing the game ...
That's about it...

I would love to share my savegames, and I don't give a rats a$$ about a cd-key or some ea nation account. The cd-key is fake, and I have never connected to EA nation.

WAIT !!!
PEOPLE, this save game ALSO contains your EA nation ACCOUNT and PASSWORD in plain text !!!!
Removing cd key only will not be enough !!!!
You NEED to remove the ACCOUNT NAME and PASSWORD too!!!
I don't know if the saves will work like that, but it's NOT JUST cd key problem

Way to get around this problem
hey all, there is a tool to get the cd-key of that save files...
go visit : http://www.nfszone.com/NFS_.../Downloads/Savegame/
there's a tool to get the cd-key if u ever "forgotten" the cd-key of the game hehe.. pretty useful if you want to share Savegames.
