NFS PS: Carlist @ WorthPlaying (Update) Friday, 06.07.2007
NFS Pro StreetThe online magazine WorthPlaying brought up a new article including the first cars of Need for Speed Pro Street officially confirmed by EA. A new screenshot of the Nissan GT-R Prototype is also provided. Check this out:

The first list of cars to be revealed in Need for Speed ProStreet is:
  • Nissan GT-R PROTO
  • 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda
  • 1995 Mazda RX-7
  • 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse
  • 2006 Audi S4
  • 1986 Toyota Corolla GTS AE86
  • 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer EVOLUTION IX MR-edition
  • 2006 Volkswagen Golf GTI
  • 2008 BMW M3

Update: I've just noticed the article is also on EA.com - so we'd better assume it wasn't any hoax. ;)

Maybe we'll have both, IX and X. I can't imagine Pro street without Skyline GTR-34. So there will be two Skylines and why not two evos =D I am also happy the new M3 is in game.

Lancer Screenshot: Rims

If you didn't notice... the BBS logo on the rims are mirrored... I don't think EA would screw anything up like that... at least they didn't before... and also the power lines in the background are really jagged... I know it's just a world element and doesn't require too much attention... but hopefully that will be fixed.

@the_red: I thought they would have the Evo X in there instead of the IX... considering there is the GT-R Proto in there.

@Xtrem_carbon

Agreed... look at the mirror... it looks like U2 sharp edged side mirrors... which I know the GT-R Proto doesn't have.

Normally, Worthplaying is pretty reliable, and meanwhile, IGN & TeamXbox got the same news on their sites, iirc.

Anyway, I didn't get anything about that stuff directly from EA.

In my opinion both the picture and the carlist are fake, we will just have to wait for more info from EA.
