NFS PS: Career mode impressions at IGN Thursday, 25.10.2007
NFS Pro StreetThe onlinemagazine IGN played an almost finished version of Need for Speed ProStreet and summed up their impressions about the career mode and the game in a new article. Additionally they have a set of new screenshots, mainly showing the Nissan GT-R Proto.

Excerpt:
There's a total of 55 cars to be found in the game that range across a huge spectrum of performance. The tuning mechanics, which we've covered in-depth right here, let you tweak and change each and every ride in a multitude of ways. We managed to take a 2008 Porsche 911 GT2 and bump it up to over 1,000 horsepower. We then managed to take said rocket out to the track and record a 0-60 time of 2.19 seconds. If the game simulated the structural integrity of vehicles the car probably would have torn itself apart when we hit the gas.

Well...

After reading the preview review, its seems we are again granted with the 5 mystery card thingies W00T! i liked them heh.

Its sounds sick but i cant wait to smash up a nice car, im gonna at 1st see to what extent you can damage the car and see if it lives up to the very 1st preview shots, and to see how far i can get before its considered "totaled"

Gozilla!!!

Unleash GOZILLA lol this sounds awesome 1000hp is probably too much from a gt2 but Supra, Skyline etc can reach that for sure most 6 cylinder 3ltr twin turbo cars can... but Porsche seems a bit odd lol maybe 700hp max. But who cares they have always had unrealistic features in their games.

Not entirely

IF your mad enough anythings possible. But I agree...unless there taking customization to the extreme i doubt 1000hp for every car is possible.

55 cars is just not enough for such a game. I would at least expact 10 more.

55 cars

Hmmm...not really as many as i was hoping for, whoch was 80+

So what are these 55 cards then?!

meh thats not so awesome, in MW you could do 0-60 in 1.56 seconds lol it was funny.

But 1000hp wow that sounds awesome, i really hope the engine sound are very loud and realistic, its why i prefer NFS to other racers because i love the engine sounds so muhc
