EA Racing now officially closed

What we have announced in our last new, now is official. In the news at EA Racing stands, that at the 8th January 2002 EA Racing will be closed. This also means, that NFS 4 and NFS Porsche won't be able to play over the EA Racing servers anymore. And all that just to continue focus and development on Motor City Online :(

The End of an Era
We've all heard the call of the open road. The opportunity for our spirits to soar as we sped through exquisite environments with hard hitting techno music pumping through our speakers. But alas, all good things must come to an end and eventually we must put the open road and the memories it created behind us. It is with heavy heart that we announce the closing of EA Racing on January 8th to continue focus and development on Motor City Online. Those of us who had a hand in the creation, production and support of the game and web site will miss the community that High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed created. Friends and family of Need for Speed, we tip our hats to you!

NFSCheats has created a petition, where everyone has to sign, who wants that EA Racing won't be shutdown or they will give the server code to someone else, who can run the servers.
So please go there and sign!
