| Rumours about NFS 2011 |

A new Need for Speed is in development for the first quarter 2011, which we already reported  here. It seemed, that this new title could be Need for Speed Shift 2. The former EA employee Chris Mcclure poured some oil into the fire, by writing in his LinkedIn CV, that he worked from August 2009 until February 2010 on an open world technology as well as on Need for Speed Shift 2. Shortly after that, the number "2" disappeared and Mcclure apologizes and explained it was a typo...well, maybe it was, maybe not...
Apart from that, another EA employee, Rees Savidis, posted in his profile on LinkedIn the following:
Recently, I've worked on world concepts and narrative fiction for a new IP at Electronic Arts Blackbox and helped to develop the fiction and characters for the 2011 instalment in the AAA "Need For Speed" franchise.
It's hard to say if this is really NFS Shift 2, since the classic NFS Shift didn't have any characters, so it's not likely, that NFS Shift suddenly becomes a narrative story.
Anyway, we'll keep you updated.

I don't want to race on the racetrack again!
It is too boring and there are too much limits!
NO SHIFT 2 and NO BLACKBOX!
I hope it is Carbon 2

Also, when he was talking about Shift (2) he said he did it at SMS, and we know the Q1 2011 title is Black Box's so...

BlackBox? I don't expect much from them since Undercover. I'd realy love to see Shift 2 - but not from BlackBox...

To add, Q1 2010 is way to early to release a Shift sequel, at the very least it should be two years between them. Also, why would Black Box be doing Shift 2?
Maybe SMS is doing Shift 2, but it's not the game coming out in Q1. I'll bet it's Underground 3.

Hello..? It's obviously Black Box's next Need for Speed, we (at least I) already know this. It has been officially confirmed a while ago. Don't you guys read Wikipedia? It has references and everything.
