The latest beta version v270.51 of the GeForce driver for all Nvidia GPUs seems to have big improvements in 3D support. A new 3D Vision Game Profile for Shift 2 Unleashed was added and also the 3D Vision Surround Performance increased quite a bit, as this graph shows:
