The shortly redesigned fansite NFS-Cheats wrote, that the multiplayerpart for the upcoming game Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 won't be handled by EARacing as in the last NFS titles like NFS 4 and 5, but by Gamespy Arcade: Probably because EA wants to minimize costs and/or offer a better serverperformance.
