| NFS Shift: Catalyst 10.7 |

 Just a short note: The new driver for ATI graphic cards Catalyst v10.7 was released. Apart from support for GPU acceleration of the VLC-player and several minor performance-improvements, this driver introduces a small bugfix for Need for Speed Shift under Windows XP:
Flickering no longer observed when task switching between game and desktop with Alt+Tab in "Need for Speed: Shift" game

| Team Need for Speed Drift |

With the latest short movie from Will Roegge, the two drift-members of Team Need for Speed Mad Mike and Matt Powers are being introduced. The video was shot at the first two rounds of the Formula Drift Series in Long Beach and Atlanta.

| NFS Hot Pursuit Interview with Darin Perfonic |

 The videoportal Gametrailers made an video interview with NFS Producer Darin Perfonic, where he talks about some details of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.
There will be around 65 cars in the game - until now mostly the Lamborghini Reventon and Lamborghini Murcielago were shown. He also talks about the weapons of the cops, "Bounty" - the currentcy and the philosophy of Criterion Games behind the Need for Speed development. | NFS ProStreet Modding makes Progress |

 nfsu360 steadily surprises with new ways to mod and integrate custom cars in Need for Speed games. His latest project is a mod for Need for Speed ProStreet, and he published the first pictures of his new addon-car:
Even the damage model should be supported. The mod is still work in progress, but we can expect to hear more from nfsu360 in the near future.

| NFS World: Two-Day Stress Test |

Last friday the open beta ended, but EA is opening the doors Need for Speed World one last time before the Head-Start next week. A two-day stress test from Tuesday until Wednesday (7/13 – 7/14) should test the server's durability.
For this special test everyone gets 8000 SpeedBoost and you will be able to rent any car you want from level 1. Additionally EA is running a community sprint race competition for tier 1, 2 and 3 - the best 5 times from each tier will win a pre-order starter pack!

| NFS World: Launch date delayed |

Electronic Arts announced that the launch of Need for Speed World will be delayed by one week until July 27th. However,  Starter Pack orderers retain their head start advantage and are free to start racing on July 20th.
