 At the official website about Motor City Online the news about the auction changes has been transferred to a new section: Team Comments! There zou also find a quite interesting pic of Michael Waite aka "Feechcreep" (look at the pic on the right).
Maybe there will be posted some more news, in this new section directly from the developers of MCO.

 I finally added a new section to the upcoming game for the Playstation 2: Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2! At the moment you just can view the screenshots, but a detailed Preview is coming soon. :)

| MCO: Auction Changes |

 The developers of Motor City Online have collected feedbacks of the users, and now will make some changes on the auctions in the game. Here are the changes, that will be made soon:- All the stuff in the current Parts Auctions will also be available in the Parts Catalog.
- The stuff in the Parts Auctions will have starting bid prices at 50% of the Catalog price (so you can still bargain shop in auctions if you want).
- A few new classes of parts will be added to Parts Auctions (this is a bigger deal and will take longer than the two items above) - these parts won't have much effect on horsepower or torque, but will offer varying degrees of improvement to per-race durability, long-term wear, or weight factor (or combinations thereof).
Michael Waite also mentioned, that there will be other changes within the next months. |

Yesterday Electronic Arts has published that the onlinegame Motor City Online, which is already available in America, will be released in Europe in April 2002.

| EA dicontinues Platinum-Service!!! |

 The Platinum-Service of EA had got the function to let the users pay for some onlinegames, like Motor City Online. But this service, and also the EA-Sports Service will onlz exist until the 7th December and after the 6th November (yesterday) there won't be billed any subscription fees. At the moment it is not clear, what will happen to the concerning onlinegames, but EA writes, that they also will be discontinued. I hope this won't happen, but we can play MCO for free. :)
btw: Need for Speed Web Racing will also be discontinued!

Because of a new configuration of the FTP-Server there are some restrictions when downloading a file. You can only download a file, when there is also a referer-link. This means when you are using the following programs or possibilities, which suppress or leave the referer blank, a download isn't possible anymore:
- With wrong configured Firewalls
- With some Download-Programs like Getright or Gozilla
- In the Internet Explorer the option "Save target as..." doesn't work anymore
This measure discharged the FTP-Server, but the users get bad errors.
Simplest solution: Just click on the Downloadlink, without using any Downloadmanagers (by holding down the "Alt-Key" you disable the program), and firewall, which doesn't suppress the refererlink, and download the file completely "old-fashioned" with your browser ;)

Now I came back from my holidays and so I will make some updates on NFS-Planet tomorrow.
But what I wanted to write is following: Motor City Online is in stores now, in the USA and it waits for you to get bought. For Playing Motor City Online you have to sign up at EA's "Platinum-Service", which means that you have to pay $ 9.99 monthly , but then you can play many top-games from EA over the web.
