| NFS Shift: Many new Mods available! |

 The Modding-Community around Need for Speed Shift is growing! In the last days a couple of mods were relased (like the Damage Mod), where you only have to replace the .BFF-files.
Unfortunately this could lead to some problems, if you want to use other mods, who happen to be packed in the same. .BFF-files as others. But there is a solution: it is possible to "unpack" the .BFF-files and extract a lot of smaller files, which are editable with a plain text editor.
Once the changes are made, you can re-pack the small files into the .BFF files, or - which is quite useful - you can tell the game it should use the unpacked files, which is a requirement for many mods at the moment. All you have to to, is to create a shortcut for shift.exe and in the "target" field you add the parameter -loose.
Based on this "unpacked version" of NFS Shift many new mods are available, like the Bonus Cars in Career Mod 1.0, which lets you buy the bonus cars in the career, or the Reduced Bling Bling Mod, which removes all adverts, graffiti, balloons and circus stuff from the race tracks, so that you can really concentrate on racing. Another interesting mod is the NFS Shift Simulation SK MOD V2.6 by skneo, which modifies the driving physics and aims to make a more realistic NFS Shift.

| NFS Shift: Damage Mod |

A Damage Mod for Need for Speed Shift was released, which increases the damage effects in the game. The performance and handling of the car is heavier affected by the damage, tires can fall off and the deformations to the car's body are more intense. All these effects are already included in the original game, but this mod increases the effects.

| NFS Shift: Console Demos available today |

While the PC-Demo of Need for Speed Shift is already available, the console demos for Playstation 3 and Xbox360 will be available on October 1st on the Marketplace / Playstation Network.
In the demo you will be able to drive on the tracks Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and London River with the following cars:
1. BMW M3 (E46)
2. 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10
3. 2006 Lotus Elise 111R
4. 2008 Nissan GT-R
5. 2006 Pagani Zonda F (unlockable)
Both demos will go online during the day, although the Xbox360 demo is likely to come out first in the morning, while Sony releases the PS3 demo at the standard Sony time, so expect it around 5pm (PST). So in Europe the Xbox360 demo should be available in the afternoon, while the PS3 demo goes online in the evening/night.
