NFS World: Pontiac Solstice GXP & Delta HF Integrale Sunday, 05.02.2012
NFS World OnlineTwo new cars for Need for Speed World: the Pontiac Solstice GXP and Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione RALLY Edition:

Pontiac Solstice    Delta HF Integrale

With its 260hp turbocharged engine the Solstice GXP brings new power in the Tier 1 segment. A dual-scroll turbocharger outfitted with a lightweight turbine provides almost instant power, perfect for getting that jump off the starting-grid!

The Delta HF Integrale on the other hand brings a little rally feeling to NFS World:

The race-spec Delta HF Integrale dominated the World Rally Championship, finishing atop the podium 46 times between 1987-92 and taking the Constructors’ Championship in each of those years. How did they accomplish such an amazing feat? An amazing four-wheel drive system powered by a turbocharged engine surely helped!

This custom “Rally” version demonstrates the joy of playing in the mud. It also features a cool tri-color stripe which shows-off its Italian roots, while the rest of its livery symbolizes its glory days. Featuring a widened track and body work, this Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione is an AWD terror in the mud and a pleasure on the track.

This is how any self-respecting pure rally car would choose to dress, covered in mud! Don’t delay, get yours in the Car Dealer today!

EA: Transformation and Layoffs at EA Vancouver Sunday, 05.02.2012
Electronic ArtsEA Vancouver, the home to the EA Canada and EA Black Box studios is currently undergoing a "transformation" and as a result a certain, unspecified number of employees are unfortunately being laid off. EA mentioned to IndustryGamer that the layoffs affect a "small number" of staff.

“EA in Vancouver is transforming its studio to align with EA’s transformation to high-growth digital formats, including online, social gaming and free-to-play. Employees in our BC studio are learning new skills and working on digital games and services, and there are many examples. Developed at the EA SPORTS studio in Burnaby, the FIFA Soccer franchise represents the cutting edge of AAA gaming integrated with multiplatform extensions and online features. The Need for Speed World team in Burnaby is leading the digital transformation with 11 million registered players. As the BC studio makes this transformation, a small number of employees are being impacted while most others are being retrained, redeployed and rolling-on to new projects.”

Just recently EA announced a solid quarter with a loss of 205 Mio. USD, but rising sales and reaching an important $1 billion digital revenues milestone.
