 Last week the gamescom 09 drew gamers and developers to Cologne, Germany. Our teammember Junkie visited EA, participated at a community-event and played extensively the upcoming Need for Speed Shift. You can read his impressions in the article here:

| NFS Shift: Cockpit Upgrades |

The GamerZines Blog posted some pictures of several Cockpit-Upgrades in Need for Speed Shift. At three different cars you can see, how the interior changes when buying Cockpit Upgrade Level 3: custom steering wheel, custom seats and additional gauges. Here you can see as an example the Ford Focus ST:

The Cockpit-Upgrades are only for visual reasons and have no effect on the vehicle's performance. If you don't like the look, you can seel the upgrade and revert back to the original factory design.

| Kane tries Need for Speed Shift |

Many people wanted to try Need for Speed Shift at the gamescom and even Joe Kucan alias "Kane" from Command & Conquer couldn't get past this racer without taking a seat. As it seems he had quite some fun:

| NFS-Planet receives the EA CT Award 2009 |

 Each year at the gamescom (formerly Games Convention) the EA Community-Team honours outstanding achievements in the community with the EA CT Awards.
It's a pleasure to announce, that this year NFS-Planet was awarded with an EA-CT Award for "the build-up of one of the oldest news portals about the Need for Speed titles and the long-time efforts for Need for Speed"! Alexander Albert (aka "Junkie") took the award on behalf of the NFS-Planet team at the ceremony.
NFS-Planet is one of the oldest Need for Speed Websites and exists since almost 10 years. It's good to see, that the work we all do in our free time is being honoured with this award. Special thanks goes to the whole NFS-Planet team for his efforts and long-time work and of course you - the community, as you made this website with your passion and contents (Forum, Showcase, Downloads) to this NFS platform as it is now.

| NFS Shift: Pictures of all Cars |

Now we have a real treat for you: an exclusive collection of screenshots of every car available in Need for Speed Shift!
Additionally you can see on these screens, that the carlist grew a little bit and also contains the Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400 and the Aston Martin DB9 Coupe! You can also see two bonus the skins: one for the Porsche Cayman S and one for the Dodge Viper (Coke-Zero Style).

| NFS Shift: Xbox 360 Achievements / PS3 Trophies |

Just recently we posted about the Badges in Need for Speed Shift and now the desired Xbox 360 achievements get published, which are being supported in Need for Speed Shift.
The german website PS3-Talk additionally published the Playstation 3 trophies, which seem to be the same as the Xbox360 achievements.
